If you’ve been following my blog for any amount of time, you’ll know how much I love glasses. Not only do I need glasses (I can’t see but a foot in front of my face), but they are also fun fashion accessories. Years ago, I tried Warby Parker for the first time. I believe it was in 2012. My prescription has changed since I ordered my first pair of Nedwins. Oddly, my eyes have gotten better.
In case you’ve never heard of Warby Parker, they are a glasses company that allows you to choose five pairs to try on at a home. You can wear them around the house to really get a feel for them and then send them back. You are not required to place an order to try them on! I love this service, because I find it so hard to try on glasses in a store. It’s much better to see yourself in the glasses when you’re in your usual setting.
I got the itch to try some new pairs, so a couple weeks ago I placed an order. While I gravitate towards thick, black frames, I actually ordered a good variety of styles and colors. I filtered my search on the site to include wide frames. My face is a bit wider, and I find that regular width glasses feel tight on my face. All of the glasses I chose felt comfortable on my face. I’ve included my own commentary about the shapes and colors. I would love to know what your favorite pair is!
Warby Parket Leighty in Striped Sassafrass
I love round shapes on other people but I’m not sure about myself. This color is gorgeous, though!
Crane in Jet Black
Like I said, I love thick, black frames. These look so similar to my current ones, but I just had to try them!
Mitchell in Whiskey Tortoise
These are very similar to my first Warby Parker pair, which was Nedwin in black. These are very dark but have a hint of brown that I absolutely love!
Barnett in Quail Egg Gray
This color is quite a departure from the norm for me, but it is very nice. I really love the shape.
Goodney in Birch Tortoise
This last pair is definitely the most unique out of the bunch. These are grey cat eyes, and I couldn’t be happier with them. These are so fun!
If you haven’t seen it yet, the Warby Parker Summer 2017 collection is stunning! I’ve included a few images of the frames I love, but definitely check out the entire collection on their site.
