My husband and I were given a complimentary meal in exchange for a review. All opinions are mine alone.
This past weekend, my family and I took a little jaunt over to Cary and tried out a new-to-us pizza place. We are huge fans of pizza. I mean, every Thursday is pizza night in our house, if that tells you anything. Aaand, one night every week the kids are allowed to pick out dinner. Can you guess what they choose? That’s right! Pizza!
Honestly, I love how you can completely make it your own. That’s exactly what we loved about Brixx Wood Fired Pizza. They specialized in personal pizzas. They have a huge variety of pizzas that you never could’ve imagined. I mean, I got Spicy Shrimp Pizza. I literally had never thought about putting shrimp on pizza. Spoiler alert: it was so good! If you don’t want one of the combos on their menu, then you can create your own. It’s like creating your own pizza, but someone does it for you. And cooks it in a wood fire oven.
Let’s get to the pics!
As an appetizer, we got the bread sticks. They were deliciously toasty on the outside and soft on the inside. They came with two dipping sauces. The spicy mustard was so yummy!
I was so glad to see they offer fresh fruit cups with the kids’ meals!
Digging around for the grapes!
My husband got the Caribbean Jerk Chicken Pizza. We were pleasantly surprised about the pineapple. We love adding pineapple to meals you wouldn’t expect — we’ve grilled it for hamburgers, and we’ve added it to stir fry. Pineapple on a pizza?? Yes, please!
This is my delicious Spicy Shrimp Pizza. The sauce had sriracha in it, so it definitely had some bite to it! If you love shrimp, you would definitely love this!
The kids were really happy with their pizzas. 🙂
Last but certainly not least, we tried their dessert pizza. S’mores is basically my favorite dessert of all time, and this was so rich and so delicious. We all loved it. The boys got ice cream and stole a few of my marshmallows to put in their ice cream bowls.
