The NIP and FAB items were sent to me for review. All opinions are mine alone.
This year, I’ve been having a really hard time with my skin. Out of the blue, my face and body started breaking out. At first, I attributed it to being on city water instead of county. Then, I thought my hair conditioner was getting on my skin and wasn’t getting rinsed off in the shower. I never really figured out what was causing my break outs, but it recently started clearing up when I switched up a few products in my skincare routine.
I don’t know if my skin just needed a change, but I’m going to keep on doing what I’m doing!
And here’s what I’m doing. 🙂
NIGHT TIME
Makeup Removal
I have outrageously sensitive eyes. As in, the only eye makeup remover I could use (up until recently) was the L’Oreal Clean Artiste Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover. In the last couple months, I decided to start supporting cruelty free beauty brands. That means that I will no longer be purchasing my go-to eye makeup remover. My first task was to find an eye makeup remover that doesn’t sting my eyes and make them swell up.
It actually wasn’t easy. I tried a few from the drugstore, but they irritated my eyes very badly. It didn’t take me long to splurge on these RMS Beauty The Ultimate Makeup Remover Wipes. They are basically soft little squares soaked in coconut oil. I’ve tried using coconut oil before to remove my eye makeup, but it never worked as well as these do. You can also add water to the wipe if you need a little more moisture on the wipe.
CLEANSE
The next step is half makeup removal/half cleanse. This NIP + FAB Glycolic Cleanse Fix melts away my makeup and cleanses my skin. I always like to remove my makeup before I cleanse my face. Essentially, I am double cleansing my face with this, but the first wash removes my makeup. It contains glycolic acid and amino acids that gently exfoliate your skin. For some added moisture, it also contains olive oil. My face feels very smooth and fresh after using this.
NIP and FAB TREATMENT
Every few nights, I like to do an exfoliating treatment. I’ve been using the NIP + FAB Glycolic Fix pads. They sent me the extreme night version, and they have been so nice. They contain more glycolic acid than the regular pads, so I only use this a couple times a week. If you’ve never used a topical exfoliant before, this is a great place to start. The price point is affordable and they are very user friendly.
I use an eye treatment twice a day, without fail. My undereye area is extremely dry, and I really want to keep it hydrated so my skin will stay looking young as long as possible. This Say Yes to Blueberries Eye Firming Treatment is actually the first eye cream product I ever used. I remember being so impressed by it the first time around. At the beginning of this year, I picked up again while I was at the drugstore. I am glad to report that it is still impressive!
MOISTURIZER
My routine is finished off with my night time moisturizer. Spoiler alert: I’m currently using a facial oil as a moisturizer at night. My face has been so problematic lately, I went full force and simply started using my amazing Rodial STEMCELL Super-Food Facial oil in place of moisturizer. It’s been amazing. After exfoliating with the glycolic acid, it’s important to moisturize really well. My skin feels so smooth and hydrated.

NIP and FAB MORNING ROUTINE
In the morning, I just like to get ready and go. My morning routine is much simpler. I start off with my NIP + FAB Glycolic Scrub Fix in the shower. It’s a gritty cleanser that really wakes me up first thing. Then, I apply my Say Yes to Blueberries Eye Firming Treatment. I follow that up with my Ole Henriksen Counter Balance Oil Control Hydrator.
