If you’ve been following my blog for any length of time, I’m pretty sure you’ve caught onto the fact that I don’t follow trends too much. I do like to update my wardrobe with current pieces and … if I end up liking a trend, I will most definitely purchase a piece that reflects that trend. Overall, I don’t jump on the trend bandwagons just for the sake of the trend. I have to actually love it and it has to fit into my wardrobe.
The off-the-shoulder trend really had to grow on me. It’s not a style I thought I could embrace until I saw this top from The Flourish Market. As I was perusing Instastories one night, as one does, I saw the lovely Emily sharing some the new arrivals in her shop. When this Gwyneth top popped up in a pic, I knew I had to have it. I love the stripes, I love the neutrals, and I love the double layered ruffle. Add to it, the material is unbelievably soft (something I obviously didn’t know until it arrived in the mail) and I had a coupon code from sharing a pic of one of my recent Goodwill donations. So, basically cute top + coupon + soft fabric = my new favorite summer top.
I wore it for the first time this past weekend, which *ahem* was also the first Saturday I actually got dress in something other than yoga pants in a while. It was really nice to run my errands in a comfy & breezy top!
