If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you might remember when I was subscribed to Petit Vour. Just in case you’ve never heard of Petit Vour, it’s a monthly beauty subscription service that sends you 4-5 beauty items. The focus of the box is natural, cruelty free, and vegan beauty products. It costs $18 a month. I’ve been missing getting a monthly beauty box, so I resubscribed in August.
Here’s what I got!
Kaia Naturals The Takesumi Detox, Juicy Bamboo, $21 for a full size
This first product immediately caught my eye. I’ve been using aluminum-free deodorants for a long time and only recently found a cruelty free brand that I love. It’s nice to have a back up to my usual deodorant. This deodorant uses activated charcoal to control odor. I used this during a particularly hot day and was super happy with it. The juicy bamboo scent smells so good. In fact, it’s been sold out on Kaia’s website, so it’s obviously well-loved!
Soap Walla Kitchen’s The Balm, $64 for 2 oz.
This is another product that excited me .. until I saw the price of the full size product! This balm can be used on anything that needs extra moisture. Your face, your hands, your feet, you name it! I’ve been looking for a replacement for my Burt’s Bees Coconut Foot Creme. I thought this was going to be it, until I saw the price. The texture is the exact same as the Burt’s Bees. It soaks right into my skin and keeps it moisturized all day. I tried this on my heels, which are definitely the driest part of my body. I was very impressed with this balm, but the steep price means I will not be purchasing a full size.
Juice Beauty Green Apple Age Defy Hand Cream, $12 for full size
After my major clear out earlier this year, I had to toss quite a few hand cream samples that had gone bad. I’ve been in need of a good hand cream to keep in my purse. This size is a little big for my purse, but it will be perfect for my desk drawer. I love the fresh apple scent of this hand cream. I haven’t been using it long enough to see any ‘age defy’ effects, but I generally believe that if you routinely moisturize your hands then that’s age defying by itself.

Noto Botanics Multi-Benne Tint Stick, $18.50 for full size
This was the full-size product in the box. In fact, I believe that each box includes one full size item every month. This is a gorgeous multi-use tint stick. You can use it on your eyes, lips, and cheeks. I am a little bit squeamish to use products like this all over my face. If I’ve used it on my lips, I don’t want to use it on my eyes. Am I the only one who feels like this?! Anyways, this is a very pretty color. I was worried that it would be too dark before I tried it on, but it’s a lovely tint of orange-red. Perfect for fall & winter!
