For as long as I can remember, I have loved collecting jewelry. There are pieces in my jewelry collection that I’ve owned for nearly all my life. Granted, I don’t wear those pieces anymore. 😉 They’re quite small and don’t fit me anymore, but they are so special to me.
I’ve recently added another piece of sentimental jewelry to my collection, and I am so excited about sharing it with you all. This is a piece from Moonglow, and it is absolutely stunning. They offered me a piece of jewelry for free in exchange for a review. I chose the Classic Necklace in Pewter, because the dark color of the metal is so pretty.
The idea behind this jewelry is that every special moment in your life has a moon phase. You can input your special date on their Moon Phase Calculator to see what it looks like before you order. The date for my necklace is my husband’s and my 10-year wedding anniversary, which was August 26, 2016.
When your necklace arrives, they include a little information card about the moon phase on your necklace. This moon phase is the Waning Crescent, and I love it. It is so pretty! I looked up our actual wedding day moon phase, which was New Moon. I thought that was pretty symbolic for starting a marriage.
The information card is all about people who are born during that particular moon phase, but I did read through it to see if could apply to our 10-year wedding anniversary. The part that stood out to me is that under the waning crescent, the “challenge is not to lose sight of the real world while staying connected to this Spiritual gift.” It’s a beautiful way to stay grounded but to also be thankful for all the blessings in our life.
