This dress is one of my more recent purchases from Em’s shop The Flourish Market. I’ve been so inspired by all her new arrivals, I even had another package arrive last week. It’s not quite cool enough to wear what I purchased in that package, so it’ll be a few weeks before I wear it. I had to snag this jacket when it was available, because it’s been flying off the racks!
When I saw this dress, which is called the Amalia Dress, I thought it’d be a great addition to my wardrobe. I’m trying to focus more intentionally on the colors I add to my closet. Mustard, bordeaux, navy, and olive green are colors that I’m focusing on. They are all harmonious together, so I should be able to mix and match a lot in the upcoming season.
Since this past weekend was warm-ish (it was warm yet windy), I used my trusty nudy wedges. I don’t need to say they go with anything, because that’s totally obvious. I also paired it my favorite burnished gold necklace that I picked up a couple years ago at Altar’d State. It’s one of my go-to necklaces, no matter what season.
I love the flowy aspect of this dress. The waist is elasticated, but it’s not snug at all. When the weather cools down, I’m going to try belting it with a black belt. It would look really great with a pair of heeled boots, too. I have a pair that’s been sitting in my closet for a couple years. I’ve been debating selling them, but maybe this is the perfect dress to pair them with!
