Every season, it’s so exciting to switch up my makeup routine. There are so many colors and textures to consider, and when the weather starts to turn colder it’s time to switch it all up! Today, I want to share my go-to fall nail polish. As I was looking back on all my nail polish posts over the year, I realized it’s been a very long time since I’ve shared a fall nail polish round up.
It’s been four years!
My fall nail polish collection looks very different than it did four years ago. Colors come and go, textures come and go, and I’ve decluttered a lot of non-cruelty-free nail polishes. All of the polishes I’m featuring today are from cruelty free brands and I’ve been able to find them online. In fact, this post would’ve been a little longer, but some of my favorite colors have been discontinued.
With that being said, here are my favorite polishes for fall!
Smith & Cult Stockholm Syndrome, $18
In my opinion, every fall nail polish collection needs a gray polish (or two, as you’ll see below). Smith & Cult describes this color as opaque elephant gray, which doesn’t say much about the actual color. This is a medium smoky gray with cool, purple understones. It is a creme finish. When it dries, it’s glossy. I love a high gloss polish, so I always add a top coat of Seche Vite.
This polish has been in my collection for years. I instantly fell in love with this classic, bright blue. It’s definitely not an everyday color, because it’s so bright! The fall & winter is the perfect time for this shade of blue.
If you’ve been reading my blog for any length of time, you probably know how much I adore the Marc Jacobs Beauty nail polishes. The color range is impressive and they offer a variety of textures. This is one of the metallic shimmers. It’s a dirty bronze with metallic shimmer that seemingly goes with everything. Swipe it on your nails for an instant grungy glam.
Marc Jacobs Beauty Delphine, $18
I did say that I love gray, right. This is another one of my favorites, mostly due to the purple undertones. This is a little deeper than the previous gray polish, and it’s definitely one of my most-used nail polishes.
Julep Logan, $14
If moody colors are your thing during the fall, then this color is definitely for you. As you can see, it’s a little difficult to photograph (see photo below). If you’re unfamiliar with Julep’s nail polish line, they have different categories according to your personal style. For example, this is from the Classic With a Twist color range. Julep’s nail polishes are fast-drying and long-lasting. Their color range is unbelievable! I have many shades that aren’t in their permanent line, so you won’t see them featured on the blog. However, rest assured that I have many and I love them all. This sultry aubergine shimmer rates pretty high on my list.
Julep Octavia, $14
I tend to favor blue polishes during the colder months, and this deep, inky blue is no exception. This is another Classic With a Twist color from Julep, and it is so chic. I love that Julep’s polishes are five-free, vegan-friendly, and include strengthening ingredients. This smoky indigo creme color would look gorgeous against winter whites.
That rounds up my faves for fall nail polish. What colors to wear when the weather turns colder?
