Since I decided to support cruelty free brands earlier this year, I’ve been on the hunt to replace some of the staple items in my beauty routine. Bit by bit, I’ve been finding new items that fit into my beauty regime. This week, I needed to replace a few items that had been used up. so I thought it’d be the perfect time to share them with you my latest Sephora haul.
RMS Beauty Ultimate Makeup Remover Wipes, $16
I’ve done a review on these before, both in a blog post and in a video. These are perfect removing my eye makeup, and I sometimes use them on my face makeup as well. The major con of these makeup remover wipes is the price, but I cut them in half to make them last longer.
Marc Jacobs Beauty Major Lashes on the Go, $14
I’ve been using drugstore mascaras for nearly all of this year, and I’ve been itching for some high end mascaras. I love drugstore and high end equally, but sometimes I just need a Marc Jacobs Beauty mascara. You know what I mean? I’ve never tried this Major Lashes on the Go, so I ordered the smaller size in my Sephora haul. So far, I love this mascara. It volumizes, lengthens, and defines my lashes in a couple coats. It is definitely worth the money!
I thought this would be a great time to talk about Marc Jacobs Beauty vs. Marc Jacobs perfume. When I started searching for cruelty free brands, I was surprised that Marc Jacobs popped up in my searches. It turns out, the Marc Jacobs Beauty brand is owned by Kendo, which owns quite a few cruelty-free brands. Marc Jacobs perfumes are owned by Coty, which is a company that does allow animal testing on its products where required by law (i.e., China). I was so, so happy to find out that Marc Jacobs Beauty was indeed cruelty free, because I’ve been so impressed with all the products I’ve tried.
Farmacy Lip Bloom in Lavender Mint, $16.50
This has been my favorite lip balm lately. It seems redundant to say this is ‘so hydrating, but it feels so moisturizing on my lips. My lips are always dry, so a good lip balm is a must-have product for me. I use this in the morning and at night, and I apply a little extra at night. The Lavender Mint scent is the only one I’ve tried, but they do have a few others. I had to snap a few pictures of the packaging. It’s completely recyclable, and it has an interesting construction!
Sol de Janeria Brazilian Bum Bum Cream, $20
This product has a strange name but it’s so cool. So, basically, this cream is for your bum and thighs. Supposedly, it’s helps eliminate the appearance of cellulite and firms your skin. I can’t say that it’s done all that for me, but does make my skin look smooth. It also has a cool warming affect when you apply it to your skin. I love applying this right before I go to bed. If you’re sensitive to scents like I am, you should know that it has a perfume-y scent. It doesn’t bother me, and it does wear off after a while.
Tatcha Luminous Deep Hydration Revitalizing Eye Mask, $12
This is a new-to-me product. I’ve tried quite a few samples from the Tatcha brand, and they’ve all been wonderful. These eye masks popped up in one of my Sephora haul searches, so it seemed like a good time to try them out. I love using eye masks to add some more hydration to my under eye area. Hopefully these are good!
Farmacy Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm, $34
This is the cleanser I’ve been using for months. It melts away my makeup (per the name) and cleanses my skin. I’ve been enjoying it so much, I decided to replace it. If you are looking for a cruelty free cleansing balm, this one is very effective at removing makeup and cleansing the skin.
Jack Black Industrial Strength Hand Healer, $15
I needed to order a couple things for my husband in my Sephora haul, too. His hands get dry and chapped during the fall/winter months, so he’s going to try out this hand healer to see if it helps. So far, so good! We both love the Jack Black brand. The brand is marketed towards men, but I’ve tried a few products that have been really great for hydrating my skin.
Jack Black Clean Break Oil-Free Moisturizer, $30
He’s also going to try this face moisturizer. I cashed in 100 Sephora points to get this deluze sample. He doesn’t need a lot of face moisturizer (he has a big beard), so this deluxe sample might last him a while.
That’s it for my recent Sephora haul! What have you purchased lately? Let me know in the comments below!
