I was sent the StriVectin and Colorescience products for free. All fall beauty opinions are mine alone.
Earlier this year, I decided that it makes more sense for me to do seasonal favorites instead of continuing to share my monthly favorites. I’ve learned over the years that my favorites really tend to change seasonally. Makeup and skincare can vary from season to season, especially because our summers and winters are so different. My skin and makeup look and feel so different in the summer, versus the winter.
I wanted to share with you a few fall beauty products that I’ve been loving since we’re officially in the cold months. During the fall and winter, I prefer to wear heavier eye makeup and fuller coverage foundation (because it won’t melt off my face, ha!). My skincare is more hydrating and I don’t skimp on the sunscreen. It’s so easy to forget about sunscreen when it’s not hot outside, but it is still important during the fall and winter.
These fall beauty products will have full reviews coming up over the next month, so keep your eyes peeled if you’re interested in hearing more.
StriVectin Hyaluronic Dual-Response Serum
You’ve probably heard me mention hyaluronic acid before either here on the blog or on my YouTube channel. It’s a really great acid to add to your skincare routine if you need your moisturizer to work harder. Basically, hyaluronic acid can hold a lot of moisture on your skin. My skin always looks amazing when I use it in my routine. This particular serum from StriVectin is really good, and I use it at night.
Colorescience All Calm Clinical Redness Corrector
This is the coolest fall beauty product I’ve tried in a long time. It’s somewhere in between a skincare product and a makeup product. It looks like a really thick CC cream, and you apply it after your last skincare step and before your makeup. It neutrals any redness in your skin and it has SPF 50. You do not need to use another face primer. And trust me, I’ve tried it every which way. It looks much better without a primer. I could easily wear this and nothing else, it’s so good!
The Ordinary Full Coverage Foundation
I’ve heard so many great reviews of The Ordinary brand, so I finally ordered a bottle of their high coverage foundation. I also have a bottle of the lighter weight serum foundation, but I have not tried it yet. You are about to flip at the price… it is $6.90. It’s sold on Deciem’s website, which is the company that owns a few smaller cosmetic brands. This foundation has been so popular that it was sold out for a long time. The short and sweet is that this fall beauty product is long-lasting, medium to full coverage, and it feels weightless on my face. I also love that it has a pump!
Julep Fluid Eye Glider, Jet Black & Marc Jacobs Highliner in Blacquer
The fall is the perfect time for a dark eyeliner. For the majority of the year, I have barely been wearing any eyeliner. I mean, when it’s so hot outside my makeup can melt off my face, there is absolutely no point. As soon as the weather turned cold, I reorganized my makeup and pulled out all my eyeliner. This combo has been great. I use the Marc Jacobs first to smudge along my lash line and tight line. Then, I add a very thin line with the liquid eye liner. I’ve been loving it!
Those are the beauty highlights I’ve been loving for my fall beauty routine, and I wanted to share my favorite lifestyle favorites as well.
The cold months are the perfect time to snuggle up in a blanket to watch a movie. I have quite a few favorites for this time of year. Little Women is one of them. Since it begins and ends during Christmas, it has such a cozy feeling. This is a movie I pull out year after year.
If you did notice my Entertaining With Beth unboxing, it is here. I haven’t loved one item more than than the others, so the entire box is definitely a favorite for me. I can’t wait to use the items more this week, while I’m hosting Thanksgiving!
I also want to share some Youtubers and Instagrammers that I’ve been enjoying lately!
Emma Hill is a new-to-me Youtuber. She is from the UK and started as a fashion blogger. She and her husband Simon do weekly vlogs on her channel, and she does fashion content as well. I enjoy all of her videos along with her Instagram.
The next Youtuber I’ve been enjoying is Justine Leconte. She is a French fashion designer living in Berlin, Germany. She has amazing fashion content. From French style to outfit advice to practical pointers about fashion and beauty, I love to watch all of her videos. You should definitely check her out!
The last Youtuber I wanted to share is Sandra. Her channel is called ttsandra. I’ve been following her channel and Instagram for years, and I love that she has gained so many followers over the years. Honestly, I think she deserves so many more! Sandra has such a classic style that I love, and she has amazing taste in makeup.
Last but not least, I wanted to also share two Instagrammers. A Clothes Horse is someone I’ve followed for years. Her style has a vintage flair to it, and she takes gorgeous pictures for her stories. I highly recommend following her! I also want to share Braedin’s Instagram feed. He takes absolutely gorgeous nature pictures. All of his pictures look amazing!
