It’s about time to review another cruelty free beauty product. I am so pumped after decluttering even more of my makeup stash this weekend. Not only did I cull some of the non-cruelty free products that I was trying to use up, but I also reduced my stash to items that I really, really love. It’s so nice to look at the products I own and know that they all work for me.
This rms beauty powder was most definitely not in the ‘throw out’ pile. It’s official name is rms beauty tinted “un” powder. This rms un powder is my forever favorite setting powder. If you haven’t read my review of rms beauty’s un-cover foundation/concealer, you can find it here. It’s amazing, plus I use it every day. This rms un powder has become a daily favorite as well. It definitely deserves a little spotlight on my blog!
According to the website, this powder aligns with their ‘less is more’ aesthetic. I truly believe that. This rms un powder is so effective that I need just the tiniest amount to powder my entire face. This powder is very finely milled, and it reduces the appearance of pores. This powder is talc free, silicone free, perfume free, paraben free and, of course, cruelty free.
This rms un powder comes with this little poof. Normally, this is not the type of application that I prefer. I just don’t think I can clean this as well as I can a brush. After using this powder with a brush and then trying it with the poof, I can officially say the poof is much better than a brush. I have not figured out how to either (a) wash the poof or (b) how to order additional poofs. For now, this is what I’m using to apply the powder.
Along with it’s incredible pore reducing properties, the rms un powder mattifies like no other powder I’ve ever tried. On a typical work day, my t-zone is shiny and in need of powdering at lunch time. With this rms beauty tinted un-powder, my shine is held at bay until around 4:00. It’s amazing! I’ve never used such a long-lasting powder.
The two down sides of this powder are the shade selection and the price. For $34, you get 0.32 ounces/9g of product. That is quite pricey, but I use such a little amount that it’s going to last for a long time. The shade range is very small, at three shades. They do offer a translucent version, if you are not able to find a shade that is close to your skin.
What do you think about this rms un powder? Have you ever tried it?
