Every time I get my Petit Vour box in the mail, I get so excited to share it with you all! Discovering new cruelty free and natural brands is so much fun, and my goal is to build up a ton of reviews to help other people navigate the world of cruelty free and natural skincare and beauty. It can be daunting to switch over your entire beauty routine, but I feel pretty confident about it now! In a few months, it will be a year since I decided to go cruelty free and I couldn’t be happier about it.
If you’ve never heard of Petit Vour, it is a natural, organic, cruelty free beauty subscription box. For $18 a month, you can be sent 4-5 deluxe samples of products. Most months, I get one full size product in my box.
This month, there is one full-size cream blush in a gorgeous shade that would flatter a number of skin tones. The other three products are large sample sizes, and I’m happy to have new products to work into my routine. Since I always have samples, my skincare routine is ever-changing. It’s really fun to use up my samples first before diving into my full-size products because then I know the samples won’t go bad.
Here’s what I got this month!
Suntegrity Vanish Organic Cleansing Oil
I’ve heard of Suntegrity before. It’s possible that I’ve tried one of their products before and I just don’t remember. After trying this cleansing oil, it totally makes sense why I wouldn’t remember trying them. This cleansing oil was so weird and ineffective. It’s supposed to remove makeup, suncreen, and dirt from your face. It definitely breaks up everything on your face (I didn’t use it on my eyes), but it just moves it around on your skin.
I first tried this with a thin layer of foundation that I had on the back of my hand. I used the cleansing oil according to the directions. After dispensing it on my hand, I rubbed it into the foundation. The foundation did break up on my skin, but the oil would not come off. I had to wash it off with hand soap twice to get all off the oil and foundation completely off my hand.
It was so weird, and it did the exact same thing when I used the cleansing oil on my face. I absolutely do not recommend this cleansing oil to anyone. It’s such a shame, too, because I am such a fan of cleansing oils. This one is not effect at all!
Niu Body Piña Colada Lip Polish
I am the queen of dry lips. No matter the season, my lips will dry out and peel at the drop of a hat. I always have some sort of lip scrub stashed away in my bathroom. In fact, a few months ago I tried a DIY lip scrub recipe that is blown all other lip scrubs out of the water.
This Niu Body lip scrub is just as good as my DIY one, and it smells delicious. Coconut is such a fun, summery scent and this one does not disappoint! I definitely recommend this if you have dry lips and need to exfoliate a bit.
Andalou Naturals Goji Peptide Perfecting Cream
The last Andalou product I use was the 1000 Roses Heavenly Night Cream, and I absolutely loved using it. My Target does not carry Andalou anymore (what’s up with that), and I’d actually forgotten about them. This perfecting cream is aimed at anti-aging your skin with resveratrol, CoQ10, antioxidants, and peptides. This sinks into the skin really nicely and does not have a scent (love that); however, I would not use this at night. For my night time moisturizers, I love to have a ton of moisture packed on. This one felt very matte on my skin, so it’s perfect for the day time.
Juice Beauty Phyto-Pigments Last Looks Cream Blush in Flush
I hope you don’t mind a quick pic of the blush after I tried it. I couldn’t resist putting a light layer over the blush I was already wearing. This shade is not typical to the ones I usually purchase, but it looks gorgeous! It was a little more pigmented on my cheeks in person. The actual product is very, very pigmented and blends out very easily. The texture is so pretty, and I’m glad to finally try a Juice Beauty makeup product!
