Every time I get my Petit Vour box in the mail, I get so excited to share it with you all. Discovering new cruelty free and natural brands is so much fun, and my goal is to build my Petit Vour box reviews to help other people navigate the world of cruelty free and natural skincare and beauty. It can be daunting to switch over your entire beauty routine, but I feel pretty confident about it now! In a few months, it will be a year since I decided to go cruelty free and I couldn’t be happier about it.
I was very pleasantly surprised to find two full size products in this month’s Petit Vour box. How exciting is that?! The value of this box comes in at $63.50, which is a huge value when the box costs only $18. Here’s what I got & what I love.
EIR NYC Sunset Oil, $7 ($35 full size)
This plant-based oil is essential for beach bums. The restorative oils rehydrate parched skin damage by sun, salt, and wind. When I glanced at the ingredients list, I was surprised to find some cheaper oils in the mix such as olive oil and sweet almond oil. There are some more expensive ingredients towards the end, such as arnica, calendula, chamomile, and an essential oil blend. This oil smells so good. The scent takes me straight to the beach and it smells like it’s made for summer. I don’t mean for this sound mean, but I don’t think this is an oil that I would purchase. If I’m going to pay a premium price for a body oil, I would rather it be made of oils that I can’t get an a supermarket.
Zabana Essentials Banana Colloidal Oatmeal Face Mask + Scrub, $12.50 ($25 full size)
Ever since I tried a Zabana Essentials product a few months ago, I’ve been itching to try something else from the brand. This mask seems a little weird … banana is either a hit or a miss with me. A couple weeks ago, I tried a banana sheet mask and the smell was so off-putting I had to throw it away before I used it. So, we’ll see if this one stays on my face for the recommended time. This mask is a very hydrating option for dry skin.
Lauren B Beauty Reparative Cuticle Oil, $20
This is one of the two full-size products in this month’s box. Lauren B Beauty is such a cute brand. All of their packaging is girly & gorgeous! This cuticle oil is just what I need. Sometime last year, I stopped posting my nail pictures on Instagram because my cuticles just never look good enough. They are always dry and I can’t keep them moisturized enough. I hope this cuticle oil will get my hands summer ready! The recommended application is twice a day, one drop on each cuticle, let it sit for a minute, and then massage it into the cuticle. I’ll be sure to report back with my review!
Au Naturale Color Theory Creme Corrector in Flax, $24
This is the second full-size product in my box, and I couldn’t be happier with it. I always use a stick foundation on my under eye circles before I apply my brightener and concealer. I find it helps with hiding my circles just a tad more. This color corrector is similar but has a much stronger yellow tone, which helps to hide my circles even more. It is thick and blends out so smoothly, it’s been the perfect addition to my everyday makeup routine. If you are looking for a color corrector, I highly recommend this line. They have a few other color options. The texture is so smooth, I imagine this would work well for everyone.
