Every time I get my Petit Vour box in the mail, I get so excited to share
it with you all. Discovering new cruelty free and natural brands is so
much fun, and my goal is to build my Petit Vour box reviews to help
other people navigate the world of cruelty free and natural skincare and
beauty. It can be daunting to switch over your entire beauty routine,
but I feel pretty confident about it now! In a few months, it will be a
year since I decided to go cruelty free and I couldn’t be happier about
it.
I was very pleasantly surprised to find one full size product in this month’s Petit Vour box. How exciting is that?! And, bonus, it’s a lip color that’s perfect for me.
PETIT VOUR BOX JUNE 2018
Vert Mont Perfumery Cyrena, $5, full-size $35
Getting perfume in a beauty box is always a bit of a gamble, and this was no different. I love the idea behind this brand, which is based in Vermont. The description of this Cyrena perfume is so poetic. On my information card in the box, it says “a fragrance fit for a siren, this non-toxic scent features gardenia and magnolia, opens to green cacao, and finishes with rich labdanum amber.” This perfume doens’t really work for me, although the first notes listed are two of my favorites. The cacao note is overpowering, and it’s simply not a scent I love.
Juice Beauty Green Apple Cleansing Bar, $3, full-size $12
Juice Beauty is a really great, cruelty free brand. When my skin was breaking out a lot, I used their acne serum to keep my spots at bay. It worked really well. This cleansing bar smells so good. It has a fresh, summery scent. At first, I thought this was only for the face, but it’s actually for the whole body! I haven’t tried this yet, but I will be soon.
Goldfaden MD Facial Detox Mask, $20, full-size $65
You all know how much I love a face mask! My skin always looks better when I use a mask, and this purifying mask will be perfect during these summer months. Between sunscreen, sweat, and simply just being outside more this time of year, my skin needs this so badly. This is a physician-strength mask that draws out dirt and pore-clogging debris from your beautiful skin. You can use it as a mask or a spot treatment (yay for versatility!).
Mün Anarose Hydrating Rose Toner, $7, full-size $65
A rose toner is one of my favorite skincare products. Rose is so amazing for our skin, as it’s hydrating and just really adds good moisture into your skin. This Mün Rose Toner smells amazing, and props to Mün for putting a pump on the bottle that sends out a light mist. The mist is the perfect amount of spritz plus it covers a lot of my face. My one complaint is the price. There are so many affordable rose toners out there, spending $65 on this one just isn’t in my priorities. If this is in your budget, it’s a lovely toner!
Clove + Hallow Lip Glaze in Angelic, $15
I do love a good, neutral pink lip color. While I gravitate towards lip pencils, lip stains, and products like that, this lip glaze definitely caught my eye when I opened my box. It’s a gorgeous shade for spring and summer. It’s slightly more pinky than nude, but it definitely has neutral undertones. I’ve been wearing this for the past week, and in my experience it really needs something to hold onto. So, I’ve been layering this over my favorite nude lip liner. It’s not sticky at all, and it’s very pigmented.
