For this month’s Stitch Fix box, I requested a box of work appropriate clothing. I specifically needed pants, but I was open to anything she thought I might like. There was one specification, and that was the inseam length of any pants she might sent me. I am petite, and the best inseam length for me is 24 inches. I know, that sounds so short! If it’s a little bit longer, maybe 25 inches, it’s okay. Anything longer than that, I have hemmed to 24 inches.
Skies are Blue – Hannah Modal Scuba Blazer, size L, $88
Isn’t this a gorgeous blazer? I was so surprised at the quality and lining. The interior is such a pleasant surprise. 🙂 The fabric of the blazer was so smooth and soft, and this gray color will mix and match with so many things. Sadly, I don’t think this was the blazer for me. It was too long and the lapel was too skinny. I’m not overly sensitive to clothing making me look bigger than I am, but I truly did not feel that this did my shape any favors. It was sent back.
WEST KEI Aleesa Placket Detail Blouse, size L, $38
Does this scream ‘Pretty Woman’ to anyone else? I immediately thought of Julia Roberts’s dress when I saw this brown and cream polka dot top. I love the fun polka dots and the neutral brown color. However, you all know how funny I am about sleeveless tops. This just would not be worn very much if I kept it. This was also sent back.
Calvin Klein Dustin Roll Sleeve Blouse, size L, $68
Tribal Fia Cropped Trouser, size 14, $58
Looking back on these photos, I am a little sad these didn’t say. Yes, I sent back both of these items. First up, the top is gorgeous. Cobalt is a color I used to wear all the time. However, since I’ve been adhering to a wardrobe color scheme, cobalt has gone by the wayside. It’s simply not a color that mixes and matches as well as I would like. Next up, the pants! They are so nice. They fit well and didn’t pull in any weird places. I love the split hem at the ankles; plus, it’s a pull-on pants that makes it very comfortable. Since I already have two pairs of white pants and jeans, I decided these could go back.
Dictionary Jodi Ponte Skinny Pant, size 14, $44
Can you tell which item I decided to keep? It seems I can never have enough black skinny ankle pants. My two pairs of J. Crew Pixie Pants are dying a slow death, so I’ve been keeping my eye out for some comfortable replacements. These felt so comfy and the inseam was almost right. I need to take them in about 2 inches, but that’s not too bad. I kept these!
What do you think about this month’s box? I think my stylist nailed my style. What do you think?
