Thrive Market quickly became my favorite place to find deals on healthy food options, specifically healthy snack ideas. I started shopping on Thrive Market a couple years ago, and I haven’t looked back since. I’ve been on a long journey of changing my eating habits. Back in 2015, I started switching up my breakfasts to healthier options. This whole year, I’ve been working on my lunches and my snacks. Over these past few years, I have tried a lot of healthy foods. I’ve loved some and I’ve also hated some. It’s truly been a trial and error process for me to find healthy foods that keep me full that I actually love.
If you’re like me and love food but also want healthy options, I hope these will helpful recommendations. These are foods that I keep in our pantry all the time, because they’re quick, easy and delicious. Since I take a couple snacks with me to work every day, these are also extremely portable. These are all items that can be transported in a snack bag.
Simply 7 Quinoa Curls – Mesquite BBQ
I am a chip lover through and through. They just taste so good to me, but I know they’re not the best snack for me to eat. That’s not to say we don’t have chips in the house, because we do; however, I don’t eat them except on rare occasions. These quinoa curls are an excellent replacement for chips, in my opinion. The flavor is so good, and they have that satisfying crunch like a traditional chip. Thrive Market also carry the plain and cheddar flavors that I want to try!
Suzie’s Thin Cakes – Corn, Quinoa and Sesame with Justin’s Cinnamon Almond Butter
If you have never tried cinnamon almond butter (and you like cinnamon), you NEED TO TRY THIS. I’m sorry for the all caps usage there, but seriously. Cinnamon almond butter is the most delicious almond butter I have ever tried. Combine that with a crunchy quinoa cake and you have my favorite afternoon snack. It’s so satisfying and delicious!
Divine Chocolate Dark Chocolate with Mint Crisp
I am convinced that I have the most intense sweet tooth ever. Sweets have always been my weakness, and it’s been a major road bump in my health journey. This year, I’ve made huge strides in curbing my sugar cravings. After dinner, I still crave a little something sweet. That’s where this dark chocolate comes in! I happen to love dark chocolate anyway, so the transition to dark chocolate as my dessert was pretty easy. I have to say, the addition of the mint makes it so yummy.
I am always looking for healthy snack ideas. What do you love to snack on?
