What a wonderful start to the new year! Last month, I unintentionally took a break from the blog. I was still on social media, but once I got through all of my blog commitments for December, it felt like a good time to slow down a bit. I didn’t intend to be gone all the way to New Year, but here we are! Today I’m sharing a few of my personal highlights from the year, interspersed with a few of my favorite outfits!

2018 was an amazing year for me and my family. It was our first full year in our brand new home, and we started to slowly decorate room by room. Decorating for Christmas was extra fun, and I saved a few highlights on my Instastories if you’re interested in seeing that. Personally, I ended the year on a high note because I fully spent the month of December focused on making it cheerful and festive for my family.

One of the best things about 2018 was losing 23 pounds! In case you didn’t know, I’ve been using the Tone It Up nutritional and work out plan. It’s been going really well for me, and I’ve just started back working out at 5 am every morning this week. It was nice to have a break in December, but now I’m ready to get back to losing more weight. So far, so good! I’m so sore from this weeks’ work outs, and I’ve just downloaded the next challenge from Tone It Up. If you’re interested, it starts on January 14.

Lastly, and because this mainly a style blog, this year was the happiest I have ever been with my wardrobe. I definitely attribute that to reading The Curated Closet (you can find my review here) and using my Cladwell app (you can read how I use that here). I also decided on a very loose color scheme for my wardrobe. It’s one of the things I always meant to share last year but never did. Maybe I’ll get around to doing that this year, if anyone is interested.
I hope 2018 was a wonderful year for you as well. My next post will be all about 2019 and my goals for this year.
Happy New Year!
