Brrr! Did you have a freezing weekend like we did? I sure do love winter weather, but I do not love what it does to my skin. Since we’re in the throes of the freezing temps, it’s the perfect time to share five of my favorite beauty products for this time of year.

Laneige Special Care Lip Sleeping Mask
I am plagued by dry lips all year long, but especially during the colder months. When I saw this online, it sounded like the perfect solution for my lips. Basically, it’s an overnight treatment. You smooth it on before you go to bed, rinse it off when you wake up, and your lips are very smooth in the morning. It contains hyaluronic acid, which holds moisture on your skin. My lips have never felt this good. I’m so happy I took a chance on this! It’s worth every penny.

I’ve tried a few other Metta products through my Petit Vour subscription. Just like the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask, I use this at night. You can definitely use this during the day, but it’s a little oily. I like to slather it on so it sinks in throughout the night. If you’re don’t apply a ton, it’s fine to use it during the day. If you want to apply a lot like I do, I’d stick to night time use.

Tatcha One-Step Camellia Cleansing Oil
If there was the perfect time to try cleansing oil, the winter is definitely it. I’m a huge fan of cleansing oils, because they just melt away my makeup. This one-step cleansing oil from Tatcha is amazing. It removes your makeup and cleansing your skin (hence the ‘one-step’). It doesn’t have a strong scent and it’s easy to rinse off, which are two high points for me. If you are ever interested in trying this, I’d look for a small size at Sephora. That’s how I found mine. The full size is very pricey, but it’s so worth it.

Niu Body Sugar Lip Polish in Pina Colada
Following along the same lines as the lip sleeping mask, this is another product that I use at night. This sugar scrub removes all the dead skin from my lips without making them feel sore or parched. The oils in the scrub are so hydrating, it almost feels like a two-in-one scrub and balm. I love the scent, too.
Andalou Naturals 1000 Roses Body Lotion
Last, but most certainly not least and also from Petit Vour, is this wonderful rose body lotion from Andalou Naturals. Andalou is one of those brands that I trust for nearly everything. I have never tried a bad product from their brand. I highly recommend trying them out if you’re not to the natural/organic skincare world. This rose body lotion smells so, so good. I love applying it (you guessed it) right before I go to bed. It sinks into my skin without making it feel greasy, which is a winner in my book.
I hope this was helpful if you’re looking for any winter skincare products. It’d be wonderful to hear about the products that you turn to during the colder months.
