If there’s anything more classic than a red lip, I don’t know what it is. Red is my go to if I want a pop of color on my lips. It’s a universally flattering shade and what better time of the year to round up faves than Valentine’s Day?
Funny story, our daughter loves the color red and insists that it’s not lipstick unless it’s red. She cracks me up all the time! She’s only 8, so it’s really cute. The only time she can remotely think about wearing make up is during recital season in the spring. She has to wear makeup for dance (and sometimes for Halloween), but that’s it!
Now, on to the lipsticks. Over the past 2-3 years, I’ve been culling my makeup collection and keeping only the best bits. I have a few red lipsticks that have made the cut time and again. (and yes, this is a throw back to when I had short hair!! That’s how long I’ve loved Bite Beauty products!)

Out of these three red lipsticks, the Marc Jacobs Cora Cora is definitely my most used. I love creamy shades that don’t dry out my lips, and all of these lipsticks fit that bill. You can rest assured that any lip products I ever recommend are not drying. My lips are dry enough on their own, I can’t afford to use something that makes them worse.
If you’re looking to get into Marc Jacob lipsticks, I highly recommend them. They are worth every single penny, as they’re long lasting and very comfortable on the lips. I have quite a few, and they’re all darker shades. I really should add a nude to my collection, but that’s another post for another day.
As far as the Bite Beauty products, most of mine are the older Creme formula. They released the Amuse Bouche line a while back, and I simply haven’t repurchased my favorite shades yet. In my opinion, the Amuse Bouche line is longer lasting than the Creme formula was. Some of my Bite Beauty lipstick shades are no longer available in the newer line, so I’ve linked a few similar options below!
I’d love to hear what your favorite red lipstick is!
