I’m sure you all already know, but Petit Vour has been my favorite beauty subscription box. The value they provide is so much more than $18, which is how much the box costs every month. I’ve been exposed to so many brands I never would’ve tried. Alternatively, I’ve also discovered products that aren’t worth my money, which is just as valuable as knowing what to purchase.
My mini reviews have been so helpful to you all! I’ve really enjoyed doing my unboxings like this and had positive reception over on Instagram, so I’ve done it again. This month’s box was a little bit of a fail for me, but it was still a lot of fun to try. I’m typically not disappointed if a box isn’t super successful, if that makes sense. Trying out new-to-me products is more than half the fun!

I do want to preface my reviews with the fact that I was very excited for this box when I opened this. I loved half the products and the other half didn’t work out for various reasons, which I’ll go into shortly.

EIR NYC Tough Love Cuticle Balm
I am a sucker for a good cuticle balm! You know how much I love cuticle oils as well, so it’s probably obvious how dry my hands are. Any amount of moisture helps out my cuticles, so I tend to rotate through a few products. This EIR NYC cuticle balm is wonderful and smells amazing. The moment I opened the box, I could smell this product. It has a fresh scent that’s slighting soothing. In fact, I had a headache the day this arrived in the mail and the scent soothed my head a little.

As much as I love the scent of the EIR NYC cuticle balm, I dislike the scent of this toner just as much. This has an herbal scent but it’s very strong. Something about it is off-putting, so I haven’t used this. If I try it and absolutely love, I will update this review in the future. But for now (and if this hasn’t been edited), I have not tried this because I do not like the smell.

Antonym Cosmetics Certified Natural Waterproof Eye Pencil
Ahhh, a full size product! Sadly, February’s full size product did not work for me. I’ve spoken about my sensitive eyes a number of times here on the blog. Sometimes my eyes are bothered by products and I can never quite place my finger on the irritating ingredient. Such is the case with this. This is a very dark, kohl-like eye pencil. The color is gorgeous and deep, and it glides smoothly on my lash line. Unfortunately, my eyes were so irritated with this that it led to smudging under my eyes. This eyeliner would most likely work for someone who does not sensitive eyes. Sadly, I only used this twice!

Formulary 55 Sea Mineral Foot Soak
After a long day at work, I love pampering my feet with a little soak in the bath tub and some hydrating lotion. This is a fizzy soak that contains minerals and essential oils. It smells amazing. I am a huge fan of Formulary 55 masks, and this one is no exception.
And that’s it for February! I’d love to hear what you think of last month’s box. And I’d love to hear how you handle being disappointed by a beauty subscription box. Are you like me & and just here for the fun or do you want every box to be a 10?
