Happy Friday, friends! Whew!! What a week. It’s been a doozy. I’ve been a little MIA on here. I just didn’t have the energy to get on the computer in the evening. Sometimes a break is a good thing, but I’ve been itching to get on here.
Earlier this summer, I thought about trying a coffee talk post every other Friday. Well, it’s taken me this long to actually do it. Honestly, it’s just been that kind of summer. We’ve had so much fun, the blog has been almost on the back burner.
I started running again in June. Just in case I haven’t mentioned it here, I am doing the Disney Princess Half Marathon in 2020. This summer, I’m doing the virtual 5k series to get myself motivated and back into a running routine. My medals arrived this week, which was so exciting. I didn’t realize that all the medals would arrive at once. I mean, that makes sense as for shipping, because they’re really heavy. They are staying in the box until I’ve run the race, which means that I only have the June medal out right now.
My summer reading has been so good! I am officially out of my reading slump. The one thing that’s helped me has been visiting the library. When I know that I have a deadline to return my books, I have so much motivation to read more. Honestly, it makes so much sense and I don’t know why I haven’t done this before. When I was younger, 90% of my reading was through the library. I finished Save Me The Plums yesterday and started Always and Forever, Lara Jean today.
Since we decided to discontinue cable a couple months ago, I started watching more Netflix. Funny side note: We haven’t actually cancelled it yet. Dealing with the cable company is one of those hassles in life that I prefer to put off forever. But, soon it will be gone! Our reasoning was simply to save money. I would much rather put that $100 a month towards something fun, like our vacations next year. Anyways!
We just finished Stranger Things season 2 this week. It was really good, and we’re going to start season 3 tonight! Do you have any Netflix recs for us? We like a little bit of everything, so recommend anything!
I have been loving my jumpsuits lately. I’ve worn a jumpsuit four days out of the past two weeks, so it’s definitely a staple in my wardrobe now. Tomorrow, I’ll be sharing a few ways to style jumpsuits!
Anyone who knows me knows how much I love drinking coffee. Well, I finally tried some of the fruity drinks at Starbucks. I love the dragon drink. Before that drink, I had tried the pink drink and disliked it. It basically tastes like an adult kool-aid. The dragon drink is sweet but not too sweet. I definitely recommend it!
Let me know what you think about doing these casual coffee talk posts! Have a great weekend!
