Happy Friday, friends! We made it! What a doozy of a week. To be completely honest, I’m really happy this is a ‘coffee talk’ Friday, because a little chat about the past couple weeks is exactly what I need right now!
But, first, what about you? How was your week? Do you have plans for the weekend? Tell me all about it!!
I’m almost done with The Rest of the Story by Sarah Dessen. Expect a book review next week! I’m also in the middle of I Liked My Life by Abby Fabiaschi. So far, I am really enjoying both. Both stories are a little sad, but they have other elements going on in the story that really make up for it.
All the SPF! Haha, not but really. I am passionate about wearing SPF every single day. That’s part of the reason I wrote Monday’s post about my favorite SPF-containing products. The other part is that those three products have really changed my mind about wearing SPF. I used to think sunscreen was sticky, greasy, and had a strong smell. These products are, simply, amazing. I don’t feel them at all under my makeup!
So many veggies! I shared earlier this summer that we’ve been getting a CSA box through a local farm. I signed up for the summer boxes as well, and we’ve been really happy. During the spring session, I was unboxing them over on Instagram weekly. That was a lot of fun, but I wasn’t able to do that with the summer boxes. Since I couldn’t run to the farm and pick up the box in July, I paid a little extra for delivery (thank you, Odom Farms!!). By the time I got home from work, I had exactly zero energy to unbox it on Instagram. We are still enjoying our CSA boxes and plan to sign up again next year!
DOING (or, rather, not doing)
So, I decided to do a no buy (clothes only) for the rest of the year. It was kind of a spur-of-the-moment decision, but I’d really been thinking about it for the past couple months. I have a few concessions, though. If I need something, I will buy it. If I need to replace something, I will. If I am sent anything from a brand, I will accept it. I’m excited to see if I can do it!!
How about you? Have you ever done a no buy before?
