I have used my Trunk Club referral link throughout this post.
Hi, friends! Welcome back! Today is a review of my last Trunk Club. If you’ve missed my previous Trunk Clubs posts, you can find them here and here. I requested one more summer refresh box, so today I’m giving you my last summer Trunk Club for 2019!
You might be wondering why no fall and winter Trunk Clubs? Well, friends, I took on a little (re: big) challenge for this year, and that is a No Buy. One of my favorite Instagrammers, tanjirode, shared her own challenge of a 6-month No Buy and it got my inspired. Honestly, I have more than enough clothes in my closet. Are there things I want? Yes. Are there things I need? Actually, no. I have all that I need, and I am eliminating the temptation of wanting more.
I kept all of that in mind with this Trunk Club, because every single piece I bring into my wardrobe needs to mix and match with what I already own. Also, I love Marie Kondo’s idea that everything should spark joy or have a purpose. My entire closet should spark joy for me, and that is my ultimate goal as I declutter and bring in new pieces.
So, with all that said, here’s my last summer refresh Trunk Club review!

Gibson x The Motherchic Dancing Smocked Jumpsuit, $86
My stylist knew how much I’ve been loving jumpsuits this summer, so she made sure to include three in this Trunk Box. This super comfy, navy jumpsuit is from gibson. I love the smocking detail with the pretty pinks and reds throughout the bodice. It also had pockets, which is always a plus! Since I don’t wear navy a ton, I did send this back. But, if you’re looking for a comfy jumpsuit, I can recommend this one.

Something Navy Low Back Camisole, $49
How cute is this camisole? I don’t have anything like this in my wardrobe. I’m not a huge fan of tanks and camisoles, but this is definitely something I would wear with a cardigan. If you scroll down a little more, you can see it with a cardigan that was in my Trunk Club. The fit of this camisole was a little weird, because it was really wide at the arm pit area. Since it wasn’t a perfect fit, I didn’t keep it.

Caslon Shiloh Espadrille Sandal, $79.95
My stylist knew what she was doing when she sent me these! This is a color that I wear very frequently in my wardrobe. Cognac is the perfect accent color, in my opinion. These espadrilles are very comfortable, so I decided to keep them. Now, here’s a question for you! What do you think of wearing espadrilles in the fall? Are these strictly a spring/summer shoe? I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Kut From the Kloth Amy Frayed Crop Straight Leg Jeans, $34.97
I was sent another pair of Kut From the Kloth jeans. I’ve tried quite a few in the past but haven’t kept any yet. These jeans were very comfortable and the inseam was perfect. The only thing I didn’t like was the whiskering on the fronts of the thighs. I did not keep them. Although, the price along was tempting me!

Panacea Tear Drop Pendant Necklace, $32
This was my first time to receive jewelry in my Trunk Club. I was pleasantly surprised! Side note: you can actually choose a wide variety of accessories to add to your Trunk Club before it ships. I’ve never done that. This piece was chosen by my stylist for me to try. I really, really love it. However, I have a similar pink pendant necklace. So, I sent this one back.

Halogen Long Linen Blend Cardigan, $68
You know how much I love cardigans .. is it any surprise this one stayed with me? I obviously love the color. It was very comfortable, and the sleeves weren’t too long. It also has pockets, which are more for looks than function. I’m so glad I kept this. It’s so lightweight, I’ll be able to wear it year-round.

Leith Surplice Paperbag Detail Jumpsuit, $69
This is definitely the summer of the jumpsuit for me. I love the ones I already have in my closet (two from Stitch Fix and one from Everlane), so it’s always exciting to try on more. This one is different than any one I’ve tried on before. It has the paperbag waist detail, which I love. I’ve never found paperbag waist anything that looks flattering on me. To be honest, even though I love this, I couldn’t imagine where I’d wear it. So, I sent this back.

Gibson x The Motherhic Sarasota Layered Jersey Knit Dress, $84
This is another new-to-me style. I’ve never tried a body con dress, because I don’t like tight dresses. This dress is in the body con style; however, the material is more like a stretch t-shirt. It was so comfortable. It was honestly shocking at how comfortable it is. Of course, it’s still tighter than my other dresses, so I sent this back.
What did you think of my last summer Trunk Club? Here are the others, in case you missed them:
