Spring has finally arrived .. and it’s still chilly here! I have been ready to switch out the clothes in my wardrobe, but it’s not quite time. I will be very ready when the time does come, because I’ve been refreshing my wardrobe with each Stitch Fix and Trunk Club I order. Today I am sharing my spring Trunk Club.
In case you’ve never heard of Trunk Club, it is a styling service through Nordstrom. I have used my referral link throughout this post, which gets you my stylist when you click through and order a Spring Trunk Club. My stylist’s name is Rebekah (what an awesome name!!), and she has a great sense of my style. She has also gotten me ‘out of the box’ in a way, because she’s sent me pieces that I normally wouldn’t pick for myself.
For this box, I requested some summer dresses along with some Easter dresses. Now, due to the social distancing that is in place in our area, I’m not sure if I’ll even need an Easter dress. To be honest, I’m wondering if I’ll even need summer dresses for vacation in June. I kept that in mind while trying on these clothes. Rebekah did an amazing job of sending me a variety of pieces.

Gibson x The Motherchic Avalon Faux Wrap Jersey Dress in Heather Grey, $64 (different color)
First up, this cover up was so comfy! The fabric was light and breeze, which is perfect for the beach or pool. For my cover ups, I do prefer something longer, which is why I kept a black and white maxi cover up from my last Trunk Club. This silhouette is very flattering, but the skirt was too short for my style.

LaBlanca Slouchy Hooded Sweater Cover-Up Tunic, $69
This is another super cute cover up! This was so comfy, I imagine it would be perfect on a cool summer night. Right now, since vacation is kind of up in the air, I didn’t keep this one. It was really hard to send back, because it was so comfy.
Rebekah also sent me a La Blanca swimsuit (linked below), but I did not snap a picture of my trying it on. It was so cute, but a little low-cut.

Reformation Carina Midi Wrap Dress, $218 | 1901 Cotton Blend Cardigan, $49
This dress was gorgeous in person! I was very, very tempted to keep it, but the front portion of the wrap would not stay closed. That’s why I’m wearing two items in this outfit picture. I loved everything about it — the colors, the pattern, the twirliness of the skirt, and the sleeves. You can check out my highlight over on Instagram if you’re interested in seeing the top (I had to hold it to keep it closed). I was so sad to send this back. The cardigan was very soft and comfortable, but I ended up sending that back as well.

Boden Joanna Midi Dress, $130
This is my first time trying on a Boden dress. I have always admired them in the catalog or online. I love their whimsical prints and color schemes. This dress is so, so cute. It has a beautiful house print all over the fabric. It honestly reminds me of the houses nestled into the mountainside at Cinque Terre, which is a beautiful way to think of Italy at this time. The fit of this dress wasn’t perfect. I could’ve kept it and had it altered, but it seemed like a lot to go through for a dress I might not be able to wear for Easter. Sadly, I sent this back as well.

Soludos Wedge Lace-Up Espadrille Sandal, $94.95
I paired the dress with these wedges. Honestly, these wedges could go with anything. To be honest, my closet did not need another pair of espadrille wedges … but to be even more honest, I justified them because I don’t have a pair in this color yet. Obviously, I kept these. They are so pretty and, bonus, comfortable!

Boden Laura Embroidered Linen Dress, $130
This is another beautiful dress by Boden. I absolutely love this color, which you could probably guess by the couch in the background. The embroidery is simply and elegant, and I just love a classy shift dress. Sadly, this was not a good cut for my pear shape. It was kind of tight around the hips. A larger size would not fix the problem, because the top fit me really well. Not to mention, yet again… that I might not need an Easter dress this year. Sadly, I sent this back as well.
My stylist also sent me two more cover ups, but both were slightly too girly for my taste. They were both a beautiful lilac color and slightly ruffly. They were gorgeous, but I know they wouldn’t get a lot of wear in my closet.
And that’s it for my Spring Trunk Club! I was so excited to shop for Easter and summer, so it was a bit of a bummer that I didn’t need most of these items. I know the Soludos will get so much wear, once life returns to normal.
