This post is sponsored by Maelove Skincare. Today’s post is my Maelove Skincare review. I only feature products that I use and love. Thank you for supporting the brands that support this blog!
Skincare is one of my passions. I love trying new products and sharing the results with you guys! Maelove Skincare contacted me about trying one of their kits. After taking a look at their site and social media, I could tell they are a brand I would love to support. Their motto is luxury skincare without the luxury markups. I love effective skincare that’s affordable, so I chose to try one of their kits and requested their cleansing oil and eye cream.
In case you’ve never heard of Maelove Skincare, they are a young startup skincare brand that has used extensive research and three of the best cosmetic laboratories to create a skincare line without excessive markups.
What I love about them is the ease in finding products that suit my skin type. They offer a few kits that target common skin concerns. Since I have acne scarring and sun damage, I chose the Fade Scar-Spots Kit. Each kit has three products. The Fade Scar-Spots Kit comes with an exfoliator, a night cream, and a Glow Maker. In my Maelove Skincare review, I’ll be focusing on the Fade Scar-Spots Kit along with two additional products I requested.
Every night, I start with The Day Eraser Cleansing Oil. I take about three pumps and massage it into my skin without water. After I’ve worked it in, I rinse it off with warm water and my face cleansing cloth. Next, I use my favorite gentle cleanser.
If I’m using a toner that night, I’ll put some on a reusable cotton pad and apply it all over my face avoiding the eye area.
Next, I apply my eye cream. Right now, I am using the Maelove Skincare Eye Enhancer. I’ve been without my usual eye cream for months now, bouncing around between different eye creams. The Maelove Skincare Eye Enhancer has a gel cream texture that soaks into the skin. I use this morning and night, and sometimes I do a double layer at night for extra moisture. I’ve been so happy with the hydration level of my under eye areas.
Next, I use the good stuff! I apply the Maelove Glow Maker Antioxidant Serum. I have been absolutely blown away by how much my skin has improved with this. The Glow Maker is an antioxidant serum that contains Vitamins C and E, Ferulic Acid, and sodium hyaluronate.
As of today, I have gone foundation-free for three days and it has nothing to do with being at home during this lockdown. Even though we’re at home right now, I like to apply a little makeup because my skin always has a spotty/red look to it. But, my skin has been looking so healthy I’ve been foregoing the foundation and only applying my CC cream and little concealer under my eyes.
After the Maelove Glow Maker, I apply my night time moisturizer, which is the Night Renewer. This is a Glycolic moisturizer that contains 10% medical grade glycolic acid. They formulated this moisturizer so that anyone, even people with sensitive skin, can use it. This is, by far, the best exfoliating moisturizer I’ve ever tried.
It’s a good idea to use this for just three nights a week until your skin gets used to it. It can tingle a bit when you apply it, which is normal. I started using this every night when my kit arrived, and I didn’t have any problem. My skin has always reacted well to topical exfoliation, so if you’re not used to using glycolic acid, lactic acid, aha, or bha, I would start off with three nights a week.
That is the end of my night time skincare routine, but I do include one more product twice a week.
The Maelove Skincare Fade Scar-Spots kit includes The Exolifator BHA & Clay Facial Scrub. I haven’t used a physical exfoliator that I love in such a long time, I was actually shocked at how much my skin loves this. It has the tiniest exfoliators in it, along with BHA that smooths your skin. Just twice a week, I use this after I remove my makeup. If you have been put off by physical exfoliators because they feel rough on your skin, I highly recommend this one. It’s incredibly gentle yet effective.
And that’s it for my nighttime skincare routine with Maelove Skincare! I have been so happy with these products and the way my skin has responded to them. I hope this Maelove Skincare review was helpful for you, and please feel free to ask me any questions.
