Like most people this time of year, I am so looking forward to Fall. One thing that comes with Fall every year is the Nordstrom anniversary sale. I have to admit, the sale is hit or miss for me each year. Some years, I find a few things; other years, I find one thing. This year, there are quite a few pieces that have caught my eye. Admittedly, I won’t be ordering all of this. These are the items on my wish list right now, and I’ll be going through all my wish list items intentionally so I don’t get carried away. Here are my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale picks!
It didn’t occur to me until I saw Jennifer Lake’s super fun reel over on Instagram, that I should check out the dresses! These are not strictly Fall pieces, so I could really stretch the wear throughout the year. The green dress is so, so pretty!
Sweaters are my weakness, and right now I need to add a few cardigans to my wardrobe. My rust cardigans are a little worn in the elbows, so these two have my eye. This tan long line cardigan is the perfect neutral, and the rust open stitch cardigan is perfectly casual for the weekend.
Shoes are another weakness of mine, so I’m intentionally replacing pairs that are worn out. I have a flat pair of espadrilles that have seen better days, and I love the criss-cross detail of this pair. My leopard and pink mules are incredibly worn out, so it’s time to upgrade. The pairs I own now were cheap styles from Target. I love trying out cheaper styles in my wardrobe to see how they mix and match with everything. Once they’ve reached the end of their life span, I can send them to Nisolo’s reclamation program and upgrade to a better quality pair.
This is the year that I will try faux leather leggings! I’ve always wanted to try them but, admittedly, feel a little nervous about how they’ll look. Luckily, Nordstrom’s returns are so easy to process so I’m not worried about being stuck with a pair of leggings that don’t look good. The other pair of pants I’m looking at are these belted taper work pants. I love the belt detail, but I’m unsure of wearing my shirt tucked in all the time. We’ll see how they look when they arrive!
I haven’t seen a ton of tees that I love this year. Most of them are basic, and I’m pretty much set in that area of my closet. Olive green is a color towards which I’m gravitating, and these long-sleeve and short-sleeve options caught my eye. This black tunic is more of a sweater, but I love how it looks like a tee. This one is running out of sizes and colors quickly, so I hope there will be some available next week when I start shopping. And I’m in desperate need of some new camis, so I’ll be trying this style.
Are you shopping the Nordstrom anniversary sale? I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, and most years I can take it or leave it. This crazy year has me waiting (in)patiently for fall, so I am extra excited to add some new items to my closet. I hope you saw some things you like in my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Picks!
