The products in this post were provided to me by the brand for review. I only review products that I use and love. Thank you for supporting the brands that support this blog!
This summer, I went through the last container of my favorite tan and though it would be fun to try something else. Australian Glow asked if I’d like to try their tanning products, and of course I said yes. My strict guideline for reviews is that I have to love it in order to share it. Well, since you’re seeing this, you can safely assume that I use them and really (really!!) love them! I was sent the 1-hour express self tan mousse, a tanning mitt, and the gradual tanning lotion. Thanks for checking out my Australian Glow tan review!
Personally, I don’t think that self tan is only for the summer. I like to warm up my skin tone year-round with a little self tan. I have been using the Australian Glow 1-Hour Express Self Tan Mousse for about a month, and I find it a lot easier than the previous products I’ve used.

The guide color makes it really easy to see on your skin, so you get an even application. The mitt they sent me is incredibly soft and plush, so it also helps with the application process. It’s so soft and smooths the color out really well. This self tan mousse is different than others I’ve tried, because you can actually wash it off (without soap) after 1 hour or 4 hours. Either way, your tan continues to develop. I actually left it on over night on accident and my tan looked so good!

One major difference I’ve noticed is how long the tan lasts on my skin. Typically, my tan fades after 2-3 days but this one lasts 5 days for me. The undertone of this self tan mousse is very natural. It has a brown undertone that doesn’t lean too orange. Any warmth on my pale skin does look slightly orange, but this is by far the most natural I’ve used. It also dries very fast! I could put my pajamas on immediately, and there was absolutely no color transfer from my skin to my clothes.
The scent was a big factor for me, because strong cosmetic scents/fragrances really bother my sinus and my head. If this had given me even the slightest headache, I would not be sharing it here. I don’t want to say it’s unscented, but I do not smell anything on my skin when I apply it. The day after I apply, while the tan is developing, it does have a slight self tan smell. However, it is nowhere near as strong as my other self tan products are. The scent is the best of any self tan product I’ve tried.

Now, let’s share a little before & after! The left is with zero tan and the right is an overnight application.
And if you want a super close before/after, I am going to share a very unsightly picture of my legs. I covered one leg in the self tan mousse over night and left the other leg without self tan (so attractive!). I also slept in pajama pants, so you can see that the tan is completely unaffected by wearing clothes. If you look at the leg with self tan, the tan did settle into my pores overnight. After I showered, that was completely gone and it looked normal.

I also want to mention that I am not the greatest at remembering to apply lotion to my body. As of right now, I have not tried the gradual tanning lotion. When I use it, and if I like it, I will definitely share a review.
I hope this helps you find another great self tanning product to use! I personally like to use it year-round to warm up my complexion. You can find more beauty content here.
