Ever since the calendar flipped over to October, our kids have been asking when we’re doing our Halloween popcorn bar. What started out as a way to just making movie time a little more interesting turned into a tradition for our family. Basically, we just peruse the Halloween candy aisle at Target and pick out any candy that might pair well with popcorn.

Then, on movie night, we pop a ton of pop corn, get out all the bowls, and set out all the candy. We can mix and match all the candy and popcorn we want. This year, I went a little overboard with the candy and trail mix.
Anyone else thing Target is trying to be the next Trader Joe’s with all the fall food? Their trail mix this year is so good! We got the Candy Corn Crunch and the Scarecrow Crunch. We also picked up their Harvest Crunch Caramel Corn and Candy Apple Pretzels. Our Target’s candle aisle was starting to look picked over a couple weeks ago! We got the last gummy wtich fingers and vampire fangs. Usually we can find a couple more varieties of Halloween gummies and/or jelly beans.

We also got the new Cadbury Harvest chocolates and two new M&Ms — peanut butter in harvest colors and cocoa crispy. We also added in our favorite vegan marshmallows from Dandie’s. I order them from Thrive Market.

This is way more than enough for an entire month’s worth of family movie nights. We will be enjoying our Halloween popcorn bar every weekend this month. Since we’re spending so much time indoors, this makes movie night a little more fun! Check out more Halloween content here.
