I’m so excited for today’s post! Christmas is my favorite holiday to decorate for in our home, as you’ll easily see in all these pictures. 8 months out of the year, our home is pretty basic and clutter free. When September arrives, I break out the fall decor. After Thanksgiving, I decorate for Christmas. This year has been a little different (major understatement), and I actually put out our Christmas decorations before Thanksgiving.
I’m a strict “no Christmas decorations before Thanksgiving” person, but hey. It’s 2020!

Our foyer is easily my favorite part of our decorations. I order our real garland from Sanderson Wreaths. We get the Leyland Cypress, and you might recognize the picture on their shop page. 😉 I get a 25 ft for the bannister in the front, a 20 ft for the bannister overlooking the living room, and a 7 ft for the mantle.
I switch out our usual gray blanket for a red one, and I cover one of the pillows with a Christmas pillow cover.

In our foyer, we have three pencil Christmas trees. They are 9 ft, 7 ft, and 3 ft. I just have a variety of ball ornaments and ribbon that are kind of in the same color family. My favorite Christmas colors are olive greens that are kind of muted, a graphite grey, and reds with a lot of depth. Of course, there are gold and glitter thrown in there as well.

Heading into the living room, I have decor on our sofa console. It’s very simple. I love this vase with holly berries that I Found at target. This white house also came from Target, along with the candle. The candle coaster came from Hobby Lobby.

I keep a basket of seasonal books next to the fireplace, along with our small collection of seasonal Lego sets. We get the Christmas set every year. It’s a little tradition that the kids love.
I don’t move around much of the decor on the fireplace. I keep the lanterns and plate stand and add some Christmas trees, a glistening grapevine wreath, and the garland with our stockings. The strand of lights for this garland hasn’t been working right, so I might have to replace it. I’ve linked what we love. The led cluster lights are the best!

In the kitchen, I have just a few decor pieces. I moved this faux boxwood over to the window and put it with another white ceramic house and bottle brush trees.

On the other side of the window, I display a large platter to disguise the bluetooth speaker. I’ve kept the little rack of faux plants, because I love the color it adds to this wall. I moved the plants and candle around a bit and put a copper glitter tree on the riser.

This is where I usually keep the faux boxwood. For now, I have this tiered tray, a little ceramic house and these adorable felt trees. This faux glitter/snow plant was a Hobby Lobby find a couple years ago. I should basically call this corner the “Hobby Lobby & Target Dollar Spot Corner.”

Thanks for checking out our Christmas decorations! I’ve linked all the items I could find online, along with some similar options. You can find more decor content here.
