Any cold-natured friends out there? Well, I am the type of person to wear jeans all summer in eastern NC. So if you are also cold-natured, this is the place for you. Today, I want to share how I’m styling a denim jacket for summer. It’s been a long time since I’ve had a good denim jacket. I found this one at Old Navy, and I love it. The color is perfect and it’s distressed!
I love pairing it with this striped t-shirt dress. This is the same t-shirt dress that was on sale for $9.60 earlier this week! It’s $12 regular price, which is still a great deal. I have this dress in blue/white stripes and black. In fact, I am going to use the black one as a swim cover up. It’s so versatile, plus the blue/white stripes look great with this denim.
This sleeveless summer dress is becoming one of my most-worn dresses this summer. It’s so comfortable, and I’m so happy it pairs well with this jacket. I added my favorite Tree Fairfax belt bag for some visual interest (and so I don’t have to carry a purse) and threw on my favorite Nisolo Mariella mules.
Next up, my white jeans! I purchased these Wit & Wisdom jeans earlier this year and really like them. They are very comfortable. This red, white and blue halter top is old from Stitch Fix. My top and jeans are out of stock right now, so I’ve just linked the denim jacket and sandals.
Could these ribbon sandals be any cuter? I just love them so much. With this white dress and denim jacket, it’s so summer-y! This linen dress from Target is so well made, and it’s light and comfortable. I also have it in olive.
I told you, I can’t get enough of these ribbon sandals! This would be great for 4th of July if it’s a little cool at night. This shirt is my fave, and sadly I can’t find it online.
Last, but certainly not least, I had to pair it with my new favorite jumpsuit. This pattern feels very bold for me, but the colors are so pretty! This bold print definitely needed some simple shoes, so my newest pair of buckle sandals are perfect.
Thanks for checking out how I’m styling a denim jacket for summer! I know it’s not the ‘usual’ thing to wear during this season, but I love sharing the pieces I wear even if it’s not the ‘norm.’
