I am so, so happy that the world is opening back up this summer. Don’t get me wrong, as a homebody I’m happy to hang out at the house all summer. And I’m even happier to simply be in air conditioning! The heat lately has been unreal. But, we’re taking full advantage of the time off from school and scheduled a few weekend trips. As I mentioned in my post about packing for the beach, I prefer to travel light. Like, really light. Like, we can all be packed up in 30 minutes light. So, today I want to share my must have travel essentials.

First up, toiletry bags! They are most definitely a must have travel essentials category. I have a couple that I want to talk about, and a few more to recommend from the same brand. If you shop on Amazon, these are the Bagsmart organizers. They come in a few different colors, but I prefer to get all mine in pink. This toiletry bag fits all of my toiletries, skincare, and makeup. I took this on our Disney trip last year and it was perfect. You can fit a ton into this little bag, and there are so many options for organizing everything. The interior of mine needs to be cleaned, so I didn’t take any pictures of it. I’ve linked it below so you can see the interior.
I also have the cord organizer in this same brand and color. It hasn’t gotten a ton of use yet, but it can be used to organizer virtually anything that can fit into it. So, it might get used for something else. It’s very well made and has a lot of slots for cords and electronics accessories.
This line of bags also has a larger cosmetic bag, which I’ve ordered since it’s on sale right now. There is another cosmetic bag that looks very cool. It has an interior section that stands up, so you can store any bottles of skincare or makeup. If I were to travel with more makeup or larger bottles of skincare, this would be perfect. The sides open up to store brushes and small beauty items.

I have one more cosmetic bag to share with you, and this time I did take interior pictures. This is the cosmetic bag I take when I have more breakable items packed. This keeps everything very safe. As you can see, there are divided sections that you can customize. All of the segments are not pictured here, so you can divide it into even smaller sections.
And you all probably know about silicone travel bottles, but I just ordered a new set that I really like. These are in really cute colors and come with labels.

Last, but certainly not least, packing cubes and a purse organizer! I know packing cubes are a no-brainer, but I want to recommend the Shacke Pak ones over on Amazon. They come in a set of 5 or 7 and in tons of colors. When we traveled to Disney last year, we each had our own color of packing cubes. I even take packing cubes on weekend trips. For me, they’re not just for long distance trips. They keep me so organized!
My purse organizer is amazing for travel. This fits in my Neverfull MM, but they have other sizes as well. The organizer makes my purse heavy for every day, but it’s really great when I’m packing extra things for travel. I can’t stand it when my purse is disorganized, so this takes a lot of stress out of traveling for me. Some of the sections are customizable. The pieces are attached with velcro so you can rearrange them.
Thanks for checking out my must have travel essentials! How do you stay organized when you travel?
