Well, friends, I am stepping a little out of my comfort zone with this style post! I found this dress at Target and really, really love it. The thing is, the fabric is ribbed and I’ve always shied away from ribbed fabric because it’s kind of clingy. But, all that being said, I really love this dress. The striped version is so cute and the black version is very sleek looking. Even though it clings to my curves, this dress is here to stay. So, I wanted to style this striped dress three ways!
This first look is how I’ll wear it on a summer weekend. I love my Tree Fairfax belt bag. Over on Instagram, I saw that Tree Fairfax is also coming out with a small bucket bag! I can’t wait to get that one, but for now this belt bag is my go-to bag when I want to be hands free. I love how it cinches in this dress and gives it a little more shape. My cognac Jack Rogers pair really well with this belt bag.
This is a new purse! I love the straps that Stella & Dot released for fall, and picked up a bag that matches my favorite strap. I’ll share more about the Stella & Dot fall collection when all my pieces arrive. I’ve paired my favorite Madewell slingbacks with the ribbed dress. A simple black bag with patterned strap finished it off. If you are looking for these exact shoes, they are the Madewell Noelle Slingback Sandal. I’ve linked the Madewell site, but they don’t have all sizes in stock right now. There are some similar shoes linked below.
Is it even a style session if I don’t tie a button-up over a dress? Honestly, it’s my favorite way to mix up a piece. It cinches in the waist, adds some texture and interest, and gives the dress a whole new look. I’ve paired this with my new pair of shoes from Target, the Amabel flats. I thought these were insanely cute online. They are very, very cute in person; however, I wonder if the strap is too tight for my foot. I hope the straps will loosen up with use.
Thanks for checking out how I style this striped dress three ways. I’m so glad I got out of my comfort zone and decided to keep it!
