All you 80’s and 90’s babies out there might remember how popular olive green was back in the day. I feel kind of lucky to have been born in the early 80’s. I experienced the crazy colors and patterns of the 80’s, the same craziness of the 90’s and then the grunge phase of the late 90’s. Olive green was IT for me back then. I just thought it was the best color ever. Over the years, I stopped wearing olive green as much. But, now it’s back! Today, I’m sharing how to wear olive green for summer.

When I found this dress at Target, I first bought this olive green color. Later, I also bought the white version. The fabric is so nice. Even though this is all about olive green, I just want to touch on the quality and size of both my olive green dress and the white dress. This weekend, I noticed that the white one is lined and this green one is not. The fabric by itself is not transparent in the least, but I appreciate the addition of the lining on the white one.
This olive green dress is a size medium, which I think fits well. It is very slightly tight in the chest area, but the fabric has some give to it. The white one is a size large, which also fits well but is slightly roomier. If you’re looking at this dress to purchase, you could go with your normal size to a regular fit and a size up for a roomier fit.

I know this isn’t a typical color combo, but I love pink and olive green together. This particular cardigan is a little sheer and slim in the sleeves. So, something a little less fitted would be better. But, I love this unexpected color combo!

Last, but certainly not least, my favorite summer time cardigan. This cocoon cardigan is so old. It’s so old, the brand is probably Xhilaration from Target. But, I wear it every somewhere and it’s held up really well. I love this simple outfit!
Thanks for checking out how I wear olive green for summer. I really love this color and would love to hear how you style it.
