I thought it would be fun to recap some of my recent outfits from September and October. I switched out my fall clothes mid-September, and you can read more about that here. I use the same process at the change of the seasons twice a year.

Pardon the real life in the background of this photo. This is a quintessential Rebecca Lately weekend outfit. A flannel, skinny jeans, and whatever shoes I’ve thrown on. These Target sandals have been a fave of mine for years, but I think it’s time to upgrade to some Birkenstocks. It’s been years and years since I’ve had a pair of Birkenstocks, but given how often I wear these two strap sandals I think they’d fit into my wardrobe very nicely now.

If you’ve never tried the Madewell Kent cardigans, I highly recommend them! The new colors at Nordstrom sold out so fast at the Nordstrom sale this year. I have the pinky grey color from a couple years ago and wore it out. I donated it and replaced it with this beautiful golden color that I found on thredUP (referral link for a $10 credit with your first purchase). Paired with a stripe tea, skinny work pants, and my newest braided mules, this is a comfy work outfit.

It’s about time to retire one of my favorite summer work shirts for the season. Although this is long sleeve, it’s a little too light for the fall/winter. Plus, it definitely has summer vibes. I love pairing this with my navy pixie pants and brandy Emma Oxfords. You can see other ways I’ve styled these oxfords here.

Doesn’t this color combo have fall written all over it? These burgundy pixie pants are so pretty. They were sold out, but I’m linking the other colors below in case they come back in stock. The J. Crew cardigan was thrifted, but I’ve linked the similar ones I love below.

These flats are one of the first pair of Nisolo shoes I ever purchased. They are due for an oil treatment, which makes them look brand new again. I just love a pair of black skinny pants with black pointy flats. I’ve paired these with my pink Stella & Dot twist shirt, my Interlock Necklace, an old Pegasus style necklace, and my Dove wrap bracelet (also old).

Ahhh… an outfit repeat from last year! I went through my fall outfits from last year and shared my favorites here. It just really made me appreciative of the work I’ve done in my wardrobe. This is the happiest I’ve been with my closet in a long time. It may seem like a frivolous thing, but we all have to get dressed every day. We should be happy with what we’re wearing. This cardigan is last year’s version in the cream color. This year’s version is mostly sold out (along with the mules), so I’m linking similar items.

I’ve been searching thredUP’s website nearly every day to find new Madewell and J. Crew items. The search function on thredUP is the best way to find amazing pieces. This gingham J. Crew button-up was one of my finds. What do you think of it? I love it with this cardigan, and the top/cardigan could easily be paired with jeans and sneakers for the weekend. I wore my rose gold jewelry from Aurate and my rose gold bracelets from Stella & Dot. They are old, but the new version of the set I have is here.
