This post has been a long time coming! I am no stranger to dry shampoo, and I’ve tried my fair share of drugstore and high end. For the past couple years, I have been a faithful user of the Living Proof Dry Shampoo and then, later, their Advanced Dry Shampoo. They are both really great. However, I was looking for a way to cut back on my beauty budget and decided to try a few dry shampoo from Target. I got a few to try out, but there was one a cut above the rest. Today, I want to share the best drugstore dry shampoo!

When I chose a bunch of dry shampoos from the drugstore, I skipped over the ones I’ve already tried. That’s the Not Your Mother’s Dry Shampoo (really great!!), the Dove dry shampoo (too powdery and scented, in my opinion), and the Batiste (way too scented for me). I picked up the OGX Argan Oil Dry Shampoo and the Hask Charcoal Purifying Dry Shampoo.
I didn’t even remember to take a picture of the OGX dry shampoo (not an affiliate link, because I don’t recommend it), because it just didn’t work for my hair. I don’t know if it was too heavy or what it was exactly, but my hair just never felt refreshed when I used it.
This Hask Purifying Dry Shampoo has been amazing! Our kids use the Hask Tea Tree Oil shampoo and conditioner, by the way, so the brand is really great all around. But, this dry shampoo is affordable at $4.99, easily accessible at Walmart, Target, and pharmacies, and it’s so good. My hair feels exactly the same as when I use the expensive Living Proof dry shampoos. I was honestly shocked at how good it was!
I just wanted to share that if you’re looking for a budget friendly option, this is the best drugstore dry shampoo that I’ve found! Thanks for reading, and I’d love to know if you ever try this.
