I love when it’s time to post my beauty favorites! Here is what I loved in the month of June.
Warning: I had a lot of favorites this month.
Dolce & Gabbana Passioneyes Mascara
Let’s start with the product that made me all ranty in my favorites video. This mascara is perfect and it’s $32! I was hesitant to include it in my favorites, simply because I am not sure if I’ll ever purchase it. But, it’s so nice that I had to mention it. It volumizes, curls, lengthens, and defines. I don’t know how it does it, but it literally makes your lashes look like they multiplied. Very much a favorite and frustration at the same time!
Seventeen Eye Eye Crayon in Iced
Another product sent over by Aine! I’ve been using this creamy eye shadow crayon as a brow/inner corner highlight. It is creamy and blendable. A good alternative in the states is the NYX Jumbo Eye Crayon.
Bare Minerals Moxie Lip Gloss in Hot Shot
I love this color in the summer. This formula is a bit sticky, but it does last a long time. Every time I wear this, I get tons of compliments on the color.
Rimmel Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara
Is anyone tired of hearing about this yet? I seriously love this mascara. For the price, it’s amazing. My look thick and gorgeous with this. I actually keep one at work and one at home. I did receive both for campaigns (one from Influenster and one through Social Fabric), but as always these opinions are 100% my own.
Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Lash Primer
I love the Tarte Light, Camera, Lashes mascara, so I thought this would be a nice primer to try. It thickens up my lashes a bit before I apply mascara. So, whatever my mascara does looks amplified. Love it!
Dr. Jart+ Black Labe Detox BB Cream
Behold, the most amazing BB cream ever. Yes, I have tried numerous BB creams and they have all been amazing, but this actually looks like a foundation on my skin. In that way, I feel like it stands out more. It has soothing ingredients in it, so if you break out this is a great BB cream to try. I filmed a video/review of it today, so look for that on Friday!
I filmed a review of this in June. I was surprised with how much I loved these nails. The thing that I hate about painting my nails is waiting for the polish to dry. The wait is gone with these nails, because you just glue them on and go. They look so natural!
MUA Blusher in Candy Floss
Weird name, awesome blush. Aine sent me quite a few MUA blushes, and this is what I wore almost every day in June. It’s pink and can actually look quite bright if you over apply. I apply it lightly in order to sheer it out, and it provides a natural looking flush.
Schick Hydro Silk Sensitive Care
If you saw my Summerize Your Legs post in June, you’ll know I found my holy grail razor. Like I said in that post, I have extremely sensitive legs. The five blades and extra moisture strip of hypoallergenic serum on this razor makes for the smoothest shave ever. I have even dry shaved with it, and I have never been able to do that!
Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Natural
Yes, this is back again. I had been using a loose powder that I love but decided to go back to the Rimmel for a bit. It’s nice to have a pressed powder, if I don’t want the mess of a loose one. Love it!
Clinique Even Better Foundation in Ivory
This has been a long favorite of mine, but I only ever use it when I have break outs. It helps with redness and uneven tone. It’s a little too dark for me, but a little bit goes along way. I apply this pretty sheer, but it covers the spots I don’t want to show and lasts all day!
Hour Glass Ambient Lighting Powder in Dim Light
This is a super popular ambient lighting powder, but I don’t think I use it the way most people do. It’s kind of dark for my skin tone, so I use it to slightly contour my face. It’s not so dark that it looks weird on me, but does give my face (and round cheeks) a little more definition.
Sonia Kashuk Velvety Matte Lip Crayon in all the colors
Oh. My. Goodness. I have been looking for a cheaper alternative to the Nars lip pencils, and I do believe I’ve found it! These are $7.59 at Target, super creamy, matte, and last for so long. I don’t know if I have all the colors. I will definitely be getting any other colors the next time I’m at Target!
Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel
This is just a sample size, but since I received this in a Birchbox a couple months ago it’s been the only brow gel I’ve used. It smells kind of weird, almost like nail polish (weird), but it goes away after I’ve applied it. My brows don’t get all wonky throughout the day without brow gel, but I do have a couple hairs that just … do their own thang. This keeps them in place. Yay! And I’m going to place an order online today so I can have a full size.
Consider this a cheaper version of the original Naked Palette. I’ve heard great things about the MUA palettes, and this one did not disappoint! I am thinking about doing a post, comparing these colors specifically to the ones in the Naked palette. The quality is really nice, although Urban Decay’s shadows are a bit creamier. For the price, this is extremely nice! And if I had had this palette first, I’m not sure if I would feel the need to purchase the Naked palette.
Sonia Kashuk Buffing Brush (No. 130)
I have been using the Real Techniques Buffing Brush for well over a year. It’s my favorite foundation, and I actually have two. I’ve been wanting to branch out and try other brush brands, but I am not about to plunk down something like $50 on a brush (I’m looking at you, Bobbi Brown). The last time I was in Target, I noticed that the Sonia Kashuk brush line has been redone. There are some cheaper brushes that have white handles (hence, see above) that pretty affordable. This is the buffing brush, and I’ve been using it to apply the Dr. Jart+ BB Cream. The brush is dense, soft, and applies foundation (and obvs BB cream) like a dream.
Whew, that was a lot of favorites! I just pitched and tossed my favorite things into a bag, not concerned about the number of products. Then I looked down, and thought “Hmm… I have to write about all these now…” So, if you made it to the end of this, yay! Thank you!
